Boulder

You don't want your heart to mend
All those slits let it be colder now
The love will seep from the wounds
The memories will feel older now

Who makes a case for bit of courage
And why do you so want the rush
That you have let the moment pass
What wants you to be bolder now

A sea of gold and a bucket of guilt
The price of trophy that won you
Good days and sad nights earned
And miss those old shoulder now

Dug have you deep in the heart of coal
Only enough black found to resign
So start afresh holding your light
From past that you let smoulder now

Malign the desire to desire maligned
But you don't fight a war for love of it
Partake not what I have by my side
But a rigid dream is a boulder now
